COBURN-BAKER CEMETERY

WHERE?

Located 1.8 miles south of Augusta on Kentucky 19, and 1.3 miles north of Kentucky 9 (the Double A Highway). The cemetery is on the west side of the road in a wooded patch between two homes.

WHY?

There are two soldiers buried in the cemetery who served in the American Revolution and two Civil War veterans, so this project fits our mission of preservation.

WHAT?

We have held two American Battlefield Trust Park Days events at Coburn-Baker, removing invasive species and dead trees, which has opened up the cemetery for visitation. We will be creating a plat map that will show the burial places of those interred at Coburn-Baker. We are also planning on resetting stones and installing signs.
